Digital video transcriptions can now be produced by transcribing directly from the video. There is no need to convert to audio first. We can produce transcription from the following digital video file types:

Pricing is based on the fact that a clear one-to-one interview will normally take around four times the length of the video to transcribe, with groups taking substantially longer. Because the quality of digital audio recordings is usually good, we offer a per audio minute rate for digital audio transcription, depending on the number of people and a variety of other factors. This gives you a fixed price for all your transcription work and makes it easier to budget.

Digital video transcription is likely to work out more cost-effective than transcribing from video tape because digital recordings are generally better quality than analog tape recordings.

Because digital video files tend to be substantially larger than digital audio files, we recommend that you only send them one at a time via our website, although the web upload system does, in theory, allow upload of five files at a time. Alternatively you may have an FTP site we can download the files from, or you might wish to record them to a DVD and send that by post.
